Information We Collect

We may collect information about you in a variety of ways. The information we may collect on the Site includes:

Personal Data

When you register an account using a supported login provider (X/Twitter, Google, TikTok, Facebook, or Telegram), we collect the information you permit that service to share with us, which may include your display name, platform user ID, and profile picture. We do not collect, store, or have access to your passwords. Authentication is handled entirely by the third-party provider via OAuth, meaning your credentials never pass through our servers. You are under no obligation to provide us with personal information of any kind; however, your refusal to do so may prevent you from using certain features of the Site, such as voting or managing a user profile.

Information Collected Per Provider

• X (Twitter): Display name, X username, profile picture, Twitter user ID
• Google: Display name, email address, profile picture, Google account ID
• TikTok: Display name, profile picture, TikTok open ID
• Facebook: Display name, profile picture, Facebook user ID
• Telegram: Display name, Telegram username, profile picture, Telegram user ID

We store immutable platform IDs in our databases to maintain account continuity across sessions. These IDs allow us to recognize returning users and restore their data when they log back in.

Derivative Data

Information our servers automatically collect when you access the Site, such as your IP address to enable rate limiting for voting and security purposes. We also use cookies to manage your session and track which Bobinas you have viewed or voted for.

How We Use Your Information

Having accurate information about you permits us to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience. Specifically, we may use information collected about you via the Site to:

• Create and manage your account.
• Enable user-to-user communications and interactions.
• Operate and maintain the voting system.
• Monitor and analyze usage and trends to improve your experience with the Site.
• Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against criminal activity.

User-Generated Content

When you create a user profile by signing in with any supported provider, you can vote and interact with the Bobina Council. Any votes you cast while logged in will be publicly associated with your username. Your profile is public, so other users will be able to see your submitted and voted-for Bobinas alongside some of your Companion Data if you choose to interact with Bobina, our AI Companion.

Data Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.

Your Data Rights

You have the right to review or change the information in your account at any time. You can manage your account from the Settings page.

Conversational Data Deletion

You can delete individual conversations with Bobina directly from the Talk to Bobina chat history panel. Deleted conversations are permanently removed from our companion servers and cannot be recovered. You may delete any or all of your conversational data at any time without needing to contact us.

Account Disconnection

Disconnecting your account from the Settings page will log you out and remove your active session. The following will be removed:

• Your Council Profile and public profile page (your profile slug, e.g. bobina.moe/yourusername)
• Your active session and login state

The following will be preserved:

• Your submitted Bobinas, votes, and contributions
• Your Companion data (conversation history, relationship settings, memories)
• Your immutable platform IDs (used to restore your account if you return)
• Statistics and interaction data used for research purposes

Should you log in again with the same provider account, your preserved data will be automatically restored. You are free to then delete any remaining data (such as conversational history) that you wish to remove.

Permanent Account Deletion

For permanent account deletion including all preserved data, contact contact@bobina.moe with a removal request. Due to the usage of interaction data for research and developmental purposes, permanent deletion requires manual review. We will respond to deletion requests within 30 days.

Password Security

Bobina Council does not use password-based authentication. All login is handled via third-party OAuth providers (X, Google, TikTok, Facebook, Telegram). We never collect, store, transmit, or have access to your passwords. Your authentication credentials are managed entirely by your chosen login provider.

Data Research and Development

We reserve the right to own, analyze, and research all data that Bobina collects regarding her interactions with users for research and developmental purposes. This includes but is not limited to:

• User interactions, feedback, and behavioral patterns with Bobina
• Voting patterns, preferences, and engagement metrics
• User-generated content and contributions to the platform
• Communication logs and interaction histories

This data is used to improve Bobina's capabilities, enhance user experience, develop new features, and conduct research into AI-human interactions. By using our services, you consent to this data collection and research usage. This research data may be retained even after account disconnection and deletion to maintain the integrity of our research datasets and developmental processes.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
